Beginning in 1980, the system was modified to the number 8XX-YYYY, where 8 stood for 8x10 negative, XX stood for the last two digits of the year, and YYYY stood for the negative number. Thereafter, negatives were given a number 8X-YYY, where 8 stood for 8x10 negative, X stood for the last digit of the year, and YYYY stood for the negative number. Until August, 1951, 8x10 negatives were numbered consecutively. Sub-series consists of 8x10 photographic negatives documenting a variety of commercial jobs. ![]()
